Working for the Environment One Outfit at a Time
It’s all about “green” right now. You may have received notices from your employer on new recycling bins, shredding policies and turning the lights off in the break room before leaving. Green has also gone to fashion – there have been several designers who now only produce sustainable clothing and stores that proudly tout that they primarily or only carry eco-friendly clothing and accessories. Do you want to support the cause a bit more than purchasing a reusable water bottle? Before you finish up your work look this morning, maybe grab a special tie to kick off your week. These ties from New York-based, COTO, are hand sewn in New York City using sustainably produced silk or wool that has been colored with AZO free dyes. AZO dyes and pigments are commonly used to color textiles and plastics and often include hazardous by-products . Also, all merchandise is shipped in COTO’s signature recycled packaging. So the next time someone compliments your tie, that compliment boasts both style and sustainability.

Eco-friendly ties! So sexy. A guy in a tie is hot enough…if he says it’s also good for the environment…well!
